Job summary

Hobart Service in the United States is seeking Service Technician I-IV to keep commercial kitchens running. You will work on installation, maintenance, and repair of cooking, warewash, refrigeration, and food prep equipment, with company vehicle, paid training, and clear advancement from Technician I to IV.

Compensation is based on technician level and experience, with benefits including medical/dental/vision and a 401(k). This on-site role requires strong customer service and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull equipment; work safely in kitchens.
• On-call coverage including nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Install and service commercial cooking, warewash, refrigeration, and food preparation equipment.
• Communicate repair recommendations and solutions with customers.
• Maintain parts inventory, tools, and company vehicle.
• Adhere to safety procedures and promote safe work practices.

What You'll Do

As a Service Technician, you'll provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for commercial food equipment. Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration equipment issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Install and service commercial cooking, warewash, refrigeration, and food preparation equipment
• Communicate repair recommendations and solutions with customers
• Maintain parts inventory, tools, and company vehicle
• Support our safety culture by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, and promoting safe work practices

Qualifications

We hire all technicians at Levels I-IV and align each candidate to the appropriate level based on their experience, skills, technical knowledge, and certifications.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment/parts; bend, kneel, stoop, and climb; work safely in a variety of commercial kitchen environments
• This position requires on-call coverage, including nights and weekends, as needed to support customer service needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial food equipment experience
• Microsoft Office knowledge – Outlook, Word, and Excel
• EPA, Refrigeration, and/or CFESA certifications

Compensation

Pay Range: $22.30 - $43.50 per hour
