Job summary

Knight Automotive Group is seeking an experienced automotive technician to join our service team at Bill Knight Ford of Vinita in Vinita, OK. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of makes and models, documenting work and communicating with service advisors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic required.
• Dealership experience preferred.
• OEM or ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work on a variety of makes and models.
• Document all work in repair orders per manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Communicate repair needs and time estimates to Service Advisors and management.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings to the advisor team.
• Stay up-to-date with manufacturer training, bulletins, and repair procedures.
• Ensure repairs are completed on time and meet quality standards before delivery.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in clean and safe condition.
• Assist other technicians and team members to promote teamwork and efficiency.
• Follow safety, environmental, and dealership policies and procedures.

QualificationsQualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic required; dealership experience preferred.
• OEM certifications (Ford, Lincoln, Volvo, or Mitsubishi) or ASE certifications preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and repair tools effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Must provide personal tools appropriate for skill level.
