Job summary

Cirks Construction Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to perform a high volume of repair and maintenance work orders across customer locations, ranging from minor handyman repairs to medium commercial renovations.

You’ll work independently with minimal supervision, using a broad set of construction skills including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and drywall. The role requires a flexible schedule with some nights and weekends, focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and continual

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General trade or Handyman experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring and drywall.
• Must possess the vehicle and tools required to perform job functions.
• Ability to interact with a diverse customer roster.
• Self-motivated and works independently.
• Flexible schedule; some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Services work orders at various customer locations.
• Performs requested minor equipment and building repairs.
• Respond to Priority 1 emergency safety concerns for employees or customers.
• Maintain daily updates detailing on-site times and schedule changes.
• Document daily work activity and photos; respond to management inquiries.
• Maintain store-level facility records and submitted paperwork.
• Maintain personal tool inventory and company vehicle/parts.
• Inspect and troubleshoot systems to identify repairs.
• Travel to different worksites to complete tasks.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental Program and safety efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Service Technician performs tasks and responds to a high volume of repair and maintenance service work orders ranging from minor handyman type repairs to medium commercial renovation projects. The Service Technician can work independently with minimal supervision and have a variety of construction skillsets, including but not limited to basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and drywall. The Service Technician must be focused on delivering a positive experience to the customer and always focused on continual improvement for the customer experience and satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions

• 1. Services work orders at various customer locations.
• 2. Performs requested minor equipment and building repairs.
• 3. Respond to Priority 1 emergency safety concern requests for employees or customers, health department shut-down, city official shut-down, or substantial impact on sales.
• 4. Responsible for daily updates detailing store visits, on-site times, and schedule changes.
• 5. Documents daily work activity, appropriately photographs existing job site conditions/work completion, and responds to management team inquiries.
• 6. Assists with updating store-level facility records by submitting all completed paperwork as required.
• 7. Maintains personal tool inventory.
• 8. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle and parts inventory.
• 9. Inspect and troubleshoot systems to identify necessary repairs.
• 10. Travels to different worksites to complete required tasks and projects.
• 11. Responsible for working safely, adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program, and supporting all Company safety efforts.
• 12. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• 1. Must have a flexible schedule and work some nights and weekends.
• 2. High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3. General trade or Handyman experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and drywall.
• 4. Possess the vehicle and tools required to perform job functions.
• 5. Ability to interact with a diverse customer roster.
