POSITION SUMMARY:


  • The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
  • Located in Dallas, TX.
  • Full-Time position.


The Service Technician provides intermediate-level service, repair, and installation of foodservice equipment at customer locations. This role requires customer interaction skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently. The position offers an incentive plan, door-to-door compensation, and a tuition reimbursement program for certifications to support career growth into a Senior Service Technician role.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Equipment Service: Complete on-site repair and maintenance of standard kitchen equipment and simple ice machines, conduct troubleshooting, survey safety devices, manage inventory, and work independently on equipment.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Inspect equipment for safety, identify repairs, and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory and tools, conduct periodic inventory checks.
  • Communication: Provide service reports, seek assistance when needed, and use automation systems.
  • Customer Interaction: Deliver professional service, understand customer needs, and build positive relationships.
  • Safety and Compliance: Operate vehicles safely, use PPE.
  • Documentation: Read manuals, maintain inventory records.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Inform management of work status, assist in other jobs, and perform related duties.


COMPETENCIES:


  • Excellent communication, ability to work independently, multitask, and troubleshoot equipment effectively.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years experience in foodservice equipment service or related military/practical experience.
  • Technical/trade school certification preferred, with at least one year in refrigeration.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • EPA Level 1 & 2 certifications, universal preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule, ability to pass background check.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Lift 75 pounds, bend, twist, handle objects, stand long periods, maintain balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl.
