Job summary

Mercedes Benz of Melbourne is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our service department. You will repair and maintain vehicles, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and work with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment alongside a professional team.

You should have strong mechanical skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to deliver high-quality repairs and an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Automotive technician experience preferred.
• Audi and/or Volkswagen experience is a plus.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs and maintenance per repair orders.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
• Use electronic diagnostic equipment and repair information.
• Perform inspections and identify additional maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with service advisors and team members.
• Follow all procedures and deliver high-quality customer experience.
• Continuously develop technical skills and stay current with technology.

What You'll Do

• Perform automotive repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Properly use electronic diagnostic equipment and repair information
• Perform inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members
• Follow all manufacturer, dealership, and safety procedures
• Take pride in delivering high-quality repairs and an exceptional customer experience
• Continuously develop your technical skills and stay current with new automotive technology.

What We're Looking For

• Automotive technician experience preferred
