Job summary

Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. is seeking a Field Service Technician in Tampa, FL to service customers on-site and within assigned territories.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and install components, and coordinate with the Service Manager to deliver high-quality service and options for repairs or upgrades. You will complete all work orders and forms, train other technicians, and uphold safety standards while traveling to customer locations in a dedicated territory.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• 3 years of experience as a technician.
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or electronic repair.
• Customer-focused and takes ownership of meeting customer needs.
• Able to supply all basic required tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, auto drains, flow controllers, vacuum pumps, and blowers.
• Pressure wash and clean customer equipment pads including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.

Job description

To best serve our customers, we are increasing our presence within our field service area. This supports our mission in providing safe and high-quality service that is performed with great efficiency to our customers. As a Field Service Technician, you are an important part of this mission. You will be close to your customers and service our products to provide a great customer experience. You will report to the Service Manager. You will troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers (regenerative and refrigerated), auto drains, flow controllers, vacuum pumps, and blowers You will pressure wash (where possible) and effectively clean the customer’s entire equipment pad including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc. You will communicate with the customer and Service Manager regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs You will completely fill out all work orders, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return slips You will train and assist other Service Technicians You will promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal and protective equipment You will set, install, and pipe compressor systems as needed You will participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager

Your skills and experience

• You have a valid driver's license.
• You have 3 years of experience as a technician.
• You have expertise in mechanical, electrical, or electronic repair.
• You are customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
• You can supply all basic required tools

You will be part of our customer center in Tampa FL, United States (US). You join a field service team that works close to our customers, where most of your time is spent traveling within your assigned area to support them on-site.
