Job summary

Black Automotive Group in Statesville, NC is seeking a Quick Lane Service Technician to perform multi-point inspections and routine maintenance to OEM standards. You will communicate findings with advisors and complete digital MPI inspections with photos and videos for every vehicle.

Ideal candidates have ASE certification or willingness to pursue it, prior OEM dealership experience, and a strong understanding of vehicle systems.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with a fast-pace, high-volume work environment
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, filters, and multi-point inspections
• Complete Digital MPI Inspections with videos and pictures for every vehicle
• Identify additional service needs and communicate findings with advisors
• Follow manufacture specifications on all maintenance and inspection procedures
• Stay up-to-date with required OEM training
• Stay active in the shop and work proficiently to complete vehicles for customers in the expected repair time window

We are seeking a dedicated Quick Lane Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing thorough multi-point inspections to OEM completion standards as well as completing recommended maintenance in a timely manner, cooperating and communicating productively and respectfully with quick lane staff.

Requirements

• Past experience as a Service Technician or similar role in automotive repair
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance intervals and inspection procedures
• Strong attention to detail and safety first mentality
• Ability to use shop tools and equipment
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications preferred
