Job Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi‑trailers and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. This role supports customers and internal teams by delivering timely, high‑quality mechanical, electrical, and structural repairs, while maintaining accurate service documentation and upholding company standards for safety and workmanship.

  • Safety bonuses are available immediately.
  • Productivity and efficiency bonuses begin after 90 days.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a mechanical or service technician, within the trailer, heavy equipment, or automotive industries.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair issues across a range of trailer types and configurations.
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems commonly used in dump trailers, tilt decks, and utility equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, service manuals, and parts schematics.
  • Detail‑oriented and committed to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a service team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple repairs simultaneously.
  • Safety‑conscious with a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
  • Basic computer literacy for work order entry and parts lookup.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods; must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 75 lbs unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Work Environment: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical equipment, and environments typical of a trailer service and repair facility.
