Job summary

Community Coffee is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain brewing and serving equipment in a workshop setting. You will play a key role in ensuring customers enjoy quality coffee by keeping equipment clean, functional, and reliable.

The position supports a fast-paced environment where you’ll diagnose issues, dismantle components, calibrate controls, and perform performance tests while maintaining repair parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical or small appliance repair; HVAC experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule repairs of brewing equipment to meet operational demands.
• Inspect used parts to assess wear and dimensional changes.
• Observe and diagnose issues by listening to mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components.
• Examine parts for defects, such as changes in form or texture.
• Adjust and calibrate functional components and control instruments.
• Repair or replace faulty parts, install new structural or functional components.
• Lubricate and clean mechanical parts to ensure smooth operation.
• Conduct performance tests to verify repairs and ensure equipment functionality.
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory of all repair parts.

• Inspect used parts to assess wear and dimensional changes
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to diagnose issues
• Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective components
• Examine parts for defects, such as changes in form or texture
• Adjust and calibrate functional components and control instruments
• Repair or replace faulty parts, install new structural or functional components
• Lubricate and clean mechanical parts to ensure smooth operation
• Conduct performance tests to verify repairs and ensure equipment functionality
• Manage and maintain accurate inventory of all repair parts
• May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. A passing score on an aptitude test may be accepted in lieu of a diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical or small appliance repair; HVAC experience is a plus
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fundamentals
• Valid driver’s license or government-issued ID
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical
• Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
