Job Title: Service Technician at Water Control Corporation

Join us to apply for the Service Technician role at Water Control Corporation.

Description

We are seeking a service technician to perform specialty repair work and maintenance for water treatment technologies across North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and surrounding areas. The company provides a truck/van, laptop, and phone for service calls.

• Specializes in water treatment technology repair, including high-purity water systems, water softeners, water reclaim systems, and specialized filtration systems.
• Identifies mechanical problems visually or with diagnostic equipment.
• Performs tests to confirm proper mechanical function and ensures critical parts are examined.
• Performs repairs, replacements, or maintenance as needed.
• Travels to the Ramsey, MN office regularly to gather tools and parts.
• Willingness to travel to Ramsey for initial training and onboarding.
• Available to work on-call hours as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of water treatment systems and repair skills.
• Excellent mechanical repair and analytical skills.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues visually and with diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals and work orders.
• Ability to perform repairs promptly.
• Willingness to travel within Minnesota and surrounding states.
• Availability for on-call work.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Preferred: plumbing experience and water treatment system experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely in noisy, odor-rich environments.
• Must lift 40 lbs regularly.
• Ability to inspect water treatment systems thoroughly.
• Good vision and physical ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
