ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in the United States is seeking a Service Technician to deliver reliable, automated pedestrian door solutions at customer sites. You will diagnose, repair, and upgrade sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to repair electro‑mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage wiring.
• Experience with glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety, customer satisfaction and teamwork.
• Ability to lift, bend and use power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades on automated pedestrian doors at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electro‑mechanical devices and relay logic.
• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors.
• Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
• Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders).
• Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training.

The Role:

As a Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.


• Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring.


• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.


• Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.


• Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, kneeling).


• Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training.

What You Will Need:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro‑mechanical devices.


• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).


• Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).


• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.


• High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.


• Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.

What We Offer:

Compensation & Benefits $30-$45 per hour; the final pay rate offered to the successful candidate will depend on education, experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role

Overtime:

Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal laws
