SHASTA INDUSTRIES is seeking a Pool Repair Technician in Phoenix, AZ to repair and replace pool equipment including heaters, filters, pumps, and electrical components. Knowledge of Pentair products is preferred and you will diagnose equipment needs while promoting the value of newer products and warranties.

The role requires at least 2 years of verifiable service experience, a clean MVD/background, and strong customer communication. Overtime may be required during busy seasons.

Qualifications

• 2+ years verifiable experience servicing pool motors, pumps, heaters, electronic controls, and salt chlorination systems.
• Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• References for industry experience and coworker/customer interactions.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Pool Repair Technician is responsible for the repair and replacement of swimming pool equipment products. Perform swimming pool equipment repairs relating to heaters, filters, pumps, motors, cleaning systems, swimming pool electrical. Knowledge of PENTAIR products is preferred. This position and specializes in diagnosing customer equipment needs and repairs. It also requires skilled repairmen who can sell customers on the value of new and better products and the benefits of the 5-year equipment warranties.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of skilled equipment installation and repair procedures relating to swimming pool heaters, filters, pumps, motors, cleaning systems, and swimming pool electrical/ automation systems.
• Maintain communication with the management team, office and schedulers to ensure timely repair and maintenance for assigned projects.
• Keep an accurate van inventory of tools and resources and daily maintenance of vehicle (check oil and fluid levels).
• Complete standard paperwork processes accurately and on time per the current standard procedure.
• Maintain an acceptable personal appearance and strong customer focus while working on customer properties.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures as outlined in company policies, state regulations, OSHA regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean Company Vehicle and adhere to the Shasta Safety Driving Policy.
• Follow current company policies and procedures regarding safety, honesty, integrity, and treating others with respect.
• Ability to get in water to replace lights, pop up heads, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Required Skills

• Be organized, punctual, and be able to effectively communicate with your supervisor daily.
• Ability to work independently and maintain the consistent schedule and workload.
• An acceptable MVD license report and clean background check with no prior felony convictions, DWI's or current judgments required, as you will be operating a company van.
• Able to text, take photos, use scheduling app for work details and access email.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude to communicate with customers effectively and pleasantly.
• Attention to detail and ability to document customer information and customer logs.
• Ability to take instruction and adapt to new methods/systems when implemented.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Unfortunately, applicants unable to pass a pre-employment drug screening cannot be considered for this position.
• Diver Certification a plus but not required
• Be willing to work overtime during our busy season or when necessary

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Applicants must have 2+ years of verifiable experience in servicing pool motors, pumps, heaters, electronic controls, and salt chlorination systems. Experience must also include hydraulic and electric trouble shooting skills along with experience working on in floor cleaning systems.
• Applicants must supply references verifying industry experience, as well as references for their ability to interact with coworkers, management, and customers in a positive manner.
