Job summary

Restaurant Technologies is seeking a Service Technician to install and maintain our food service equipment at customer locations. The role includes on-site installation, training customers, and performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.

You will work at depot locations, with the potential for night work based on customer demand. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and hold a valid driver’s license. EOE and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a DOT-mandated pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.
• Strong mechanical and basic electrical aptitude for field service.
• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Perform preventative maintenance and timely repairs to ensure product performance.
• Troubleshoot and train customers on system use.

Job description

The Service Technician plays a critical role in the success of Restaurant Technologies. Our Service Technicians are responsible for the installation and servicing of our advanced equipment in locations throughout the food service industry. As a Service Technician with Restaurant Technologies, you’ll install our core products for new customers and assist with customer training through troubleshooting and servicing. For existing customers, you will be responsible for service, repair, and routine maintenance.

• Compensation: The pay for this position is $35 per hour. Shift differential and overtime pay may also apply, and the position is also eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to $5,200 per year.
• Hourly rate consists of a $30 base rate plus $5 per hour Weekend Warrior rate. Opportunities to increase base pay with weekend shifts, tenure and level-up development programs
• Available Shift(s): The schedule for this position is Thursday through Sunday. You will work four 10-hour shifts each week, starting at 7:00 A.M.

Primary Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for installing and maintaining our products in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Meet and control operational goals and timelines- service labor per hour, first time right, 5S standards, etc.
• Comply with internal processes and procedures as well as all local and federally regulated requirements including DOT, OSHA, and HACCP.
• Maintain proper parts and supply levels in company service vehicles and proper paperwork standards.
• Communicate with customers to ensure product performance meets customers’ expectations.
• Efficiently and professionally service customers’ needs, training and coaching them on the system as needed.
• Utilize iPhone apps to perform multiple functions in role (parts, customer notes, clocking in/out)
• The position may include night installation work; the schedule will vary based on customer demand & install schedule.

Education, Requirements & Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• This position requires the operation of a DOT-regulated vehicle, and candidates will be subject to passing a DOT-mandated pre-employment drug test. Please be advised, a positive result for any controlled substance will disqualify applicants; including marijuana (THC), even if it is legal under state or local law.
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to problem solve customer issues for installation and service
• Ability to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical duties
• Strong customer focus and ability to respond to challenging customer situations in a positive manner
• Must meet Restaurant Technologies’ Fleet Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record
• Ability to carry 50 pounds by hand
• Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
• Ability to climb up and down a ladder as high as 20 feet in the air
