Job Details
The MWS Service Technician is responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction through site selection, ongoing preventative maintenance, customer service, user training of the Micro Weigh System, and related technologies. The Service representative also supports sales, educates customers on product use, and maximizes customer value and MWS revenue.
- Build trust and influence with customers, maintaining relationships with integrity and dedication.
- Perform preventative maintenance, onsite and remote service and support of the Micro Weigh Systems and other technologies.
- Optimize customer benefits from our systems and solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Install parts, perform electrical work, plumbing, welding, and fabrication.
- Transport and deliver equipment to customer sites.
- Maintain, modify, and accurately adjust dosages for feed additives and rations/diets via the Micro Weigh System software based on specifications.
- Conduct operational tests following protocols and checklists.
- Maintain and update FDA files for customers and train them on compliance.
- Train customer staff on equipment operation, inventory control, and FDA guidelines.
- Educate customer management on new products and programs to support sales.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, welding, and fabrication required.
- Experience with feed yard operations is helpful.
- Experience with power tools and volt meters.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and follow instructions for computer setup.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer software.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Excellent customer service skills and a sense of urgency.
- Driver's License and a good driving record are required; CDL preferred or must be obtained.
- Availability to cover emergency calls, holidays, weekends, and overnight travel.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
