Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Portland is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to perform repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards, ensuring high customer satisfaction. The role requires prior automotive repair experience; Mercedes-Benz experience is preferred, and ASE certification is desirable.

You must have a valid driver’s license. We offer a flat-rate pay model of $35–$50 per hour, with shop hours seven days a week and rotating schedules to accommodate staffing

Qualifications

• Prior automotive repair experience required.
• Mercedes-Benz experience preferred.
• ASE and manufacturer certification desired.
• Team player focused on customer service.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and service per repair order to Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions.
• Follow safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Document work on repair order, tests, and time.
• Maintain an inventory of essential tools.

Pay: Flat Rate $35 - $50 DOE

Shop Hours: Shop is open 7 days a week Monday-Saturday 9:00am – 7:00pm, Sunday 10:00am – 6:00pm, rotating schedules available!

Responsibilities:

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures.
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools.

Qualifications:

• Prior automotive repair experience required
• Mercedes-Benz experience, preferred
• ASE and manufacturer certification, desired
• A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license
