Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Service Technician to handle hazardous waste, operate forklifts, and follow strict safety procedures. The role includes loading/unloading drums, inspecting containers, and assisting with disposal operations at a facility across the United States.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, documentation, and teamwork. Prior experience with forklifts or firefighting, and a HAZWOPER certificate are preferred to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Firefighting experience is preferred.
• HAZWOPER certificate is preferred.

• Processes and stores hazardous waste materials.
• Weighs and breaks down large containers to consolidate into smaller containers.
• Samples and inspects all containers as they are received at the facility.
• Drives forklift to retrieve drums and containers from storage; operates computer and conveyor.
• Transports/positions trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
