Rose Valley Management seeks a Service Technician to provide excellent customer service while performing preventative and routine maintenance across our Garden-style community of 336 units in Middletown, CT. You will work on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and appliances, helping create a hospitable, well-maintained living experience for residents.

This role requires on-call availability, reliable transportation, and a proactive approach to safety and upkeep.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, drywall, painting, and snow removal.
• Customer service first attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.
• Experience working in maintenance in an apartment community.
• On call REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliances, drywall, painting.
• Oversee exterior maintenance and grounds, including building inspections and curb appeal.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Daily cleaning of common areas and apartments as needed.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Apply preventative measures to reduce future problems.
• Address safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Attend team meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency work orders.

Rose Valley Management is looking to hire a Service Technician to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

A Rose Valley Management Service Technician is an essential team member who is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing preventative and routine maintenance throughout the property grounds and in resident units. In this role you’ll help deliver high-quality, hospitality-driven living experiences to our 336-unit Garden style community located in Middletown, CT.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Responsible for common area and apartment repairs (routine and preventative) in the scope of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, wall repairs, painting, plumbing and appliances to our 336-unit property.
• Further oversight of the building’s curb appeal though building exterior inspections, cleaning, and grounds maintenance is required.
• Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of the community’s residents.
• Responsible for daily cleaning
• Special projects as assigned
• Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Able to attend team meetings, workshops and training sessions as required.
• Will be required to be in an on-call rotation with other employees for emergency work orders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to stand and walk inside and outside in all weather
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing (ladders), kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing

As an essential player in the continued success of the property, it is important our Service Technician has excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to take initiative. Additionally, prior experience working in maintenance at an apartment community is a must and strong written, verbal and computer skills are preferred.

Salary Range: $20 - $22/hourly
