Job summary

Modern Gas in Leesburg seeks a skilled Service Technician to service residential and commercial gas appliances. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain systems while educating homeowners on safe operation and maintenance.

You will travel across the Leesburg region, work hands-on, and uphold safety standards. A technical HVAC or gas appliance certification and a valid driver’s license are required, with strong customer-facing skills essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Technical certification in HVAC or gas appliance repair.
• Experience with gas piping and pressure systems.
• Strong comfort with physical outdoor work and independent troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain residential and commercial gas appliances with precision.
• Respond to service calls throughout the Leesburg area to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Inspect gas systems for safety codes and company standards.
• Educate homeowners on safe operation and maintenance.
• Document service visits, parts used, and work performed in the database.
• Participate in safety training sessions to stay current with industry practices.
• Maintain service vehicle and tool inventory for readiness.
