Job summary

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat–Rate) to diagnose and repair RV systems, generators, and coach bodies. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills across mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance areas and be detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.

We will sponsor certifications for qualified individuals. Prior experience in RV service and related trades is valued, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Certification from college or technical school in a trade field is helpful but applicable work experience is also considered.
  • Minimum of 1 year service technician experience or related field preferred.
  • RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
  • Must furnish own hand/shop tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor informed of work progress.
  • Ensure final work product meets quality standards and is inspected.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.

Service Technician (Flat‑Rate)

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat–Rate) for our growing team. We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful RV Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self‑motivated and well‑versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals not already certified. If you have experience in any or all of these following fields, we want to talk to you: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, RV service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
Requirements

  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
  • Possible exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
  • Must furnish own hand/shop tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
Compensation

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22.00 – $53.48 hourly.
