Job summary

Continental is seeking an onsite maintenance professional in Grand Rapids to provide exceptional resident service and keep the community well maintained. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems, while ensuring curb appeal and safety.

The role emphasizes a team mindset, readiness for non-traditional hours, and hands-on problem solving. The position offers full-time hours, a competitive hourly wage, and incentives tied to performance, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience required.
• Willing to work overtime, on-call shifts, and non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Physically capable of bending, lifting up to 100 lbs (250 lbs with assistance) and comfortable using technology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance needs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, flooring.
• Maintain appearance and safety of the property; grounds upkeep, painting, trash removal, and snow removal when applicable.
• Use software and mobile apps to manage work orders and track tasks; provide excellent resident service.

Job Category : Onsite Operations & Management

You will provide above and beyond customer service and an unmatched level of personal attention to residents. You will address our resident's service needs and will help maintain facility operations. You will report to the Service Supervisor.

Position Specifics

• Full-Time
• Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
• Additional earning potential through position-specific performance incentives

Providing an Exceptional Resident Experience

• Take pride in the property's overall appearance by regularly walking the grounds to ensure top-notch curb appeal, while delivering outstanding customer service with a courteous, professional approach in every interaction

Hands on Work

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of maintenance needs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and more to keep our community running smoothly andmakingresidents comfortable

Day-to-Day Maintenance & Community Operations

• Maintain the overall appearance and safety of the property by performing grounds upkeep, pressure washing, painting, trash removal, and stepping in foradditionalneeds like unit touch-upsandsnow removal(in applicable states)
• Our communities run on smart technology—you'lluse software and mobile apps daily to manage, track, and complete work orders and keep everything running efficiently

Skills for Success:

• Brings hands-on experience in maintenance, manual labor, or a related trade and is ready to hit the ground running
• Flexible and reliable with a willingness to work overtime, on-call shifts, and non-traditional schedules including weekends and holidays when the community needs you
• Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role—bending,lifting upto 100lbsindependently (up to 250lbswithassistance), and comfortable using technology like computers, tablets, and phones to stay connected and get the job done
