Job summary

Heritage Tractor Inc. in Galesburg, IL is seeking an Agricultural Service Technician to perform basic diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned equipment, including AMS products.

The role requires safe work practices and precise documentation of time and materials. You'll participate in training programs, stay current on John Deere and competitors' products, and maintain vehicles, tools and inventory in clean, organized workspaces while meeting safety rules and reporting

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid drivers license is required
• Works in environment inside and outside all temperatures
• Physical requirements other than lifting include bending, squatting, hand dexterity, climbing 6-13 feet
