Job summary

TriGreen Equipment in Gadsden, Alabama is seeking an experienced Service Technician to maintain and repair tractors and production agriculture equipment. You will be paid a competitive wage with a monthly bonus based on performance, and you should excel at diagnosing diesel engines and servicing John Deere machinery.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills, be able to work independently, and handle varying shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment/commercial worksite equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment.

• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on John Deere and other equipment sold/serviced by TriGreen.
• Complete reports and forms required with work orders.
• Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and related equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of vehicles, tools and inventory.

Primary Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of tractors and production agriculture equipment. You will be paid competitive wage with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus based on your performance!

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, have a strong background in diagnosing and servicing diesel-powered farm machinery, including combines, planters, and John Deere equipment. This role requires expertise in agriculture equipment repair and diesel engine maintenance, with the ability to work independently as a Service Technician. Candidates with experience in heavy equipment diesel repair and farm equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.

Major Functions and Scope:

Performs basic agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment or commercial worksite equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed if required.

Performs basic agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment/commercial worksite products repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.

Participates in all job-related training and development. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work orders.

Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and other products sold or serviced by TriGreen.

Maintains safe and proper operation of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.

Complete any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:

Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment/commercial worksite equipment.

Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.

Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Associates degree from Ag Tech program preferred

Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays Familiar with John Deere and other products sold and serviced by TriGreen

Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment.

Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal people skills.

Physical environment-ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods and sitting.
