Job summary

TriGreen Equipment in Franklin, TN seeks an experienced Diesel Technician specializing in tractors, skid steers and farm machinery. You will diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment with exposure to John Deere products, working independently in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Ag Tech preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel-powered farm machinery and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer use.
• Able to lift heavy equipment up to 75 pounds and work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and determines repairs for agricultural/outdoor power equipment.
• Repairs equipment as requested by Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
• Participates in training and completes reports and work orders.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and TriGreen products.
• Maintains safe operation of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of tractors, skid steers and/or production agriculture equipment. You will be paid competitivewage with the opportunity to earn amonthly bonusbased on your performance!

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, have a strong background in diagnosing and servicing diesel-powered farm machinery, Compact construction equipment and John Deere equipment. This role requires expertise in agriculture equipment repair and diesel engine maintenance, with the ability to work independently as a Service Technician. Candidates with experience in heavy equipment diesel repair and farm equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.

Major Functions and Scope:

• Performs basic agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment or commercial worksite equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed if required.
• Performs basic agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment/commercial worksite products repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
• Participates in all job-related training and development. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work orders.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and other products sold or serviced by TriGreen.
• Maintains safe and proper operation of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Complete any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:

• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment/commercial worksite equipment.
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Associates degree from Ag Tech program preferred
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays Familiar with John Deere and other products sold and serviced by TriGreen
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to agriculture equipment/outdoor power equipment.
• Must have analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal people skills.
• Physical environment-ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods and sitting.
