Job summary

DMW&H is seeking a Service Technician to deliver mechanical support and maintenance for conveyor systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include installation, inspection, documentation, and customer communication. A valid driver's license and ability to work in industrial environments with safety standards are required; bilinguals a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to work in facilities with safety standards (OSHA, DMW&H, customers).
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices.
• Experience with conveyor or equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proper selection and use of power and hand tools.
• Able to complete OSHA training and follow safety guidelines.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment repair; welding/fabrication a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair conveyor belts of all kinds (including lacing).
• Track conveyor belts and replace components (rollers, pulleys, bearings, chains).
• Replace gearboxes and motors as needed.
• Conduct and document system audits.
• Evaluate safety equipment and ensure proper installation/functionality.
• Assess conveyor transport for proper function and lubrication.
• Ensure pneumatic/hydraulic systems operate correctly.
• Submit time sheets and expenses accurately and on time.
• Advise customer and internal staff on parts and options.
• Maintain company vehicle and assist with special projects as needed.

As a Service Technician, you will serve as a critical representative of our company, delivering mechanical support and maintenance services to our clients. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of material handling and conveyor systems at customer sites, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role requires professionalism, strong technical skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Reports to: PSG Field Maintenance Operations Manager

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to work within an operating facility with the requirement to practice and uphold the following safety standards, material handling industry, OSHA, DMW&H, and Customers’ safety standards and requirements.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices.
• Experience with conveyor or other equipment maintenance and repair.
• Experience with proper selection and use of power and hand tools.
• Able to complete OSHA training and follow all safety guidelines.
• Experience with industrial equipment maintenance including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment repair and service – a plus.
• Millwright experience preferred, including onsite welding and fabrication – a plus.

• Good phone and in person communication skills, able to use email, text, and other electronic communication devices
• Ability to work irregular hours as needed
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

• Ability to evaluate conveyor transport to confirm proper functionality
• Ability to evaluate proper lubrication
• Ability to evaluate and confirm that all pneumatic & hydraulic equipment is functioning properly
• Submit time sheet & expenses accurately and on time
• Advise customer and internal DMW&H personnel of options and new parts sales.
• Submit written specifications and reports for audits, repairs, and parts
• Properly maintain company vehicle
• May be assigned to special projects or required to perform other duties not listed above, which may vary from time to time as determined by management, to meet company needs.
• Responsible for protecting confidential information in accordance with company security policies. Duties include following secure data handling procedures, reporting potential security incidents, and completing mandatory security awareness training to ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.

Additional Information

• Compensation Range: $25.10 to $37.65 per hour. Eligible for overtime.
