Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems and industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems including motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and couplings.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Skilled in the safe use of tools and equipment (hand tools, power tools, welding, cutting).
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, sensors, limit switches) are a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and stand/walk for long periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on various conveyor systems (belt, roller, automated).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues including belts, motors, rollers, gearboxes, and pulleys.
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding/fabrication equipment as needed.
  • Align, tension, and calibrate conveyor components to ensure proper function.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to support system reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and service logs.
