Job summary

Bob Swope Ford, Inc. in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician with ASE & Ford certifications to join our growing team. You will perform work on repair orders, diagnose repairs, and communicate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed.

Ford dealership background strongly preferred; experience with diagnostic tools essential. We offer a supportive, family‑owned environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• Ford Certification will be paid for by Dealership.
• Previous experience at a dealership is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Dexterity with electronic diagnostics and maintenance.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components with tools.
• Repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional work and estimates.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications.

We are looking for a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE & Ford certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• Ford Certification will be paid for by Dealership
• Previous Experience At a Dealership Is Preferred
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
