Job summary

Mid--south-Steel in Diggins, MO is looking for a Service Technician to maintain and inspect service station facilities. You will evaluate, troubleshoot, and monitor all instrumentation systems to keep fueling operations safe and efficient for customers.

Responsibilities include routine safety inspections, repairing pumps, tanks, lighting, and POS consoles; performing preventative tasks; and starting up retail and commercial fueling stations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Technical certification or vocational training required.
• 4–6 years related experience preferred.
• OSHA certification desirable.
• Experience in petroleum service industry desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Performs routine inspections of service facilities.
• Repairs and troubleshoots fuel dispensers, tanks, lighting, POS, and equipment.
• Executes preventative maintenance: filters, lubrication, calibration.
• Responds to service calls and after-hours emergencies.

• Performs start-ups of retail and commercial fueling stations.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $40.00 Hourly

Summary:

Responsible for maintenance, inspection, repairs, and ensuring the efficient operation of service station facilities. Service Technicians evaluate, troubleshoot, and monitor all instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures compliance with all relevant safety standards, protocols, and regulations.
• Conducts routine inspections of service station facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Performs troubleshooting and repairs on fuel dispensers, pumps, underground storage tanks, lighting systems, POS consoles, and other equipment as needed.
• Executes preventative maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, equipment lubrication, and system calibration.
• Responds promptly to service calls and emergency situations that may take place outside of traditional work hours.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service histories.
• Attend seminars and workshops to improve performance.
• Perform start-ups of retail and commercial fueling stations.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
• Obtain and maintain certifications from original equipment manufacturers.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Heavy work frequently working in difficult work positions and/or with physical demands such as continuously lifting/moving materials greater than 70 pounds.
• Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
• Job requires frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching and standing.
• The ability to lift and remove a manhole cover

Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
• Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical systems required.
• At least 4-6 years of related experience is preferred.
• OSHA Certification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in the petroleum service industry is highly desirable.

Hours:

• 8:00 AM -- 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday + on-call rotation shift.
