Job summary

Mossy Auto Group is seeking experienced Service Technicians for our high-volume, fast-paced shop. You will inspect, service, and prepare new and used vehicles according to factory and dealership standards, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely, quality repairs.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background.

• Must have clean & valid driver’s license (CA).
• OEM certifications are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles for effective communication with service and sales staff.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Provide time estimates for needed repairs and communicate with the Service Advisor.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specs.
• Comply with all company and legal requirements for vehicle repairs.

The Service Technician inspects, services, & prepares new & used vehicles according to factory & dealership standards, policies & specifications. As a Service Technician the responsibility of customer satisfaction falls into the categories of completing the job correctly and on time.

Pay Scale: The Service Technician Position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include base hourly and flag rate compensation of between $34.00 and $45.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $56.00 per hour based on individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test‑drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Complying with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs
