Job summary

Mossy Auto Group in Chula Vista, CA is seeking experienced Service Technicians for our high-volume shop. You will inspect, service, and prepare new and used vehicles to factory and dealership standards, ensuring customer satisfaction by completing work correctly and on time.

We offer a competitive pay scale from $34 to $45 base per hour, with a productivity bonus up to $56 per hour based on performance, plus a rich benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Must have clean & valid CA driver's license.
• OEM certifications are encouraged.
• Technical or trade school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles sufficient to communicate with service & sales staff.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor for additional repairs and provide time estimates.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Complying with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs.

Pay Scale: The Service Technician Position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include base hourly and flag rate compensation of between $34.00 and $45.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $56.00 per hour based on individual performance.
