Job summary

Bobcat of New Hampshire is seeking a skilled equipment technician to perform mechanical service on Bobcat machinery and attachments at our Chichester, NH location. You will diagnose electrical, diesel, hydraulic systems and perform preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance.

The role requires hands-on repair experience, ability to read schematics, and a willingness to complete Bobcat University training modules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience repairing compact construction or related equipment or trucks/vehicles.
• Some technical training (degree or certificate) preferred but not required
• Ability to read electrical schematics and follow diagnostic steps.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical service on Bobcat equipment and attachments.
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical and electronic systems.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine mechanical and management systems.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulics and hydraulic controls.
• Document diagnostic steps and repair steps performed to create a job story on the equipment.
• Utilize computer diagnostic systems and tools to identify problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Complete on-line Bobcat University courses to advance knowledge that assist in understanding Bobcat systems.
• Interact with other team members to provide the best service possible to the customer.

• Diagnose and repair diesel engine mechanical and management systems (diesel fuel injection).
• Diagnose and repair hydraulics and hydraulic controls.
• Document diagnostic steps and repair steps performed to create a job story on the equipment.
• Utilize computer diagnostic systems and tools to identify problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Complete on-line Bobcat University courses to advance knowledge that assist in understanding Bobcat systems.
• Interact with other team members to provide the best service possible to the customer.

Requirements

Some essentials to be qualified

• Minimum 2 years’ experience repairing compact construction or related equipment or trucks/vehicles in professional or personal setting.
• Some technical training (degree or certificate) preferred but not required
• An interest or passion to tinker and fix cars, trucks, equipment, etc. and can diagnose problems.
• Basic tool inventory.
• Ability to read and follow electrical and schematics and use computerized diagnostic systems.
• A strong work ethic including being punctual and dependable.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing, bending, reaching, crouching, etc.)
• Satisfactory results of a criminal background screening

Important Details

• Highly Sought After Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm! No weekends!
• Work Location: Bobcat of New Hampshire 9 Dover Rd Chichester, NH
• All of Our Locations: Bobcat of New Hampshire (Chichester, NH and Hudson, NH), Bobcat of Cape Cod (Bourne, MA), Bobcat of South Shore (Bridgewater, MA) and Bobcat of Boston (North Reading, MA)
• Pay: competitive hourly rate based on experience (40-hour workweek) (entry-level through advanced encouraged to apply). Remember, great benefits are also part of your total compensation.
• Benefits enrollment is first of month following 30 days of employment.
