Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

• General knowledge of construction, building materials, and OSHA safety practices.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of residential solar PV systems from start to finish.
• Follow project plans, specifications, and installation requirements while communicating field updates.
• Perform work in accordance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements.
• Assist the Team Lead and crew members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Maintain work vehicles, trailers, tools, equipment, and job site organization.
• Assist with job packs, material staging, warehouse coordination, and project documentation.
• Complete training and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Sun Service is one of the only companies in the region that provides support and solutions to existing solar, battery, and EV charger installations. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Service Technician - Sun Service Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation of residential and light commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring all work meets the highest standards and complies with current National Electrical Code and local jurisdiction requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• System Installation: Assist with the installation of residential solar PV systems from start to finish.
• Project Execution: Follow project plans, specifications, and installation requirements while communicating field updates.

Requirements

Required / Minimum

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work safely on rooftops, ladders, attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork skills
• General knowledge of construction, building materials, and OSHA safety practices
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Preferred / Helpful

• 1+ year of solar installation experience
• Experience with residential construction or roofing
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Interest in building a career in the renewable energy industry
