Job summary

Jiffy Lube in the United States is seeking Service Technicians to perform Signature Service oil changes, fluids and filters, and routine preventative maintenance. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop, with comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University and Ace Accreditation up to 32 college credits upon completion and certification of courses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate oil and grease guns and shop machines.
• One year automotive service experience preferred; strong candidate with Vo-Tech training considered.
• Must communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform Jiffy Lube’s Signature Service oil change.
• Conduct a 17-point report on the condition during inspection.
• Service filters, bulbs, wipers, tires and other minor services.
• Flush and fill coolant, transmission, power steering and other fluids.
• Maintain shop tools and keep a clean, safe work area.

Job description

Jiffy Lube Service Technicians perform our Signature Service Oil Change, service fluids and filters, and routine preventative maintenance.

This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program (rated #1 by Training Magazine). We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses.

Physical Qualifications:

• Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machines, air conditioner service machines, radiator service machines, hand tools, and basic shop equipment
• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience is preferred with a minimum of 1-year of automotive service at a dealership, repair shop, tire center, or quick lube. However, we will consider a strong candidate with some automotive experience or Vo-Tech training.
• Valid State of California driver's license required
• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to…

• Perform Jiffy Lubes’ Signature Service oil change
• Conduct a 17-point Report On the Condition of the visual inspection
• Service filters, light bulbs, wipers, tire rotations & other minor services
• Flush & fill coolant, transmission, power steering, and other vital fluids
• Perform daily shop clean-up and maintain tools and equipment.
