Job summary

Toyota of Murfreesboro in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform quality repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on vehicles. You will work closely with Service Advisors to inform customers about needed services and to estimate repair times.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive mechanical and diagnostic background.
• ASE Certifications highly preferred.
• Teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must possess a clean and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Quality repairs as specified on repair orders in accordance with standards.
• Diagnostics using advanced diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate with Service Advisors about additional service needs and provide accurate time estimates.
• Perform repairs under warranty strictly to manufacturer specifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Quality Repairs: Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnostics: Test-drive vehicles and utilize advanced diagnostic tools and special service equipment to test components and systems.
• Full-System Maintenance: Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Clear Communication: Communicate directly with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about additional service needs and provide accurate time estimates for repairs.
• Warranty Compliance: Execute all vehicle repairs under warranty strictly to manufacturer specifications.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: Strong automotive mechanical and diagnostic background.
• Credentials: ASE Certifications are highly preferred and ideal.
