Job summary

Qualifications

  • Vocational training or technical associate degree preferred.

  • Experience working in small teams.
  • ASME certification is a plus.
  • Ability to drive a semi-truck is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and evaluate a tank quickly and accurately.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot material, mechanical, and electrical failures.
  • Develop and coordinate a project work scope, with a task and parts list.
  • Develop a project schedule, considering tasks and order of completion.
  • Manage a project to a schedule and recover from delays.
  • Conduct routine and special inspections; interpret manuals to determine repair approaches.
  • Maintain project documentation and positive working relationships with internal customers.

Job description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Statement The Service Technician is a critical role here at STE. This position requires skills in welding, grinding, fabrication, and electrical, in order to efficiently repair tank trailers in a world-class manner. This position also requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting experience, and inspection and communication abilities. This is a fast-paced but rewarding work environment and will require accountability while working together in teams. Pay Depends on Exp. Automotive Service Techinations encouraged to apply!

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Evaluate a tank quickly and accurately.
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot material, mechanical, and electrical failures
  • Develop and coordinate a project work scope, complete with a task and parts list
  • Develop a project schedule, taking into consideration the tasks involved and the order in which these tasks need to be completed
  • Manage a project to a schedule efficiently, having the ability to recover from delays is required
  • Conduct routine and special inspections, as required. Understand systems, with the ability to trace systems and install and commission complex components (engines, pumps, motors, blowers)
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing components. Maintain schedule reports, repair logs, and other project documentation
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with internal customers and co-workers.
Other Experience and Qualifications
  • Qualifications and Experience High school diploma, or equivalent Vocational training or
