We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department. As a technician at DuPratt Ford, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Ford vehicles with precision and efficiency. We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work, embrace ongoing training, and are committed to delivering high-quality service to every customer.
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
Diagnose vehicle problems using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
Accurately document work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future service.
Communicate effectively with Service Advisors about vehicle status and customer needs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety guidelines.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an automotive service technician preferred. Smog license is prefered
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ford Experience: Prior experience working in a Ford dealership is a plus, but not required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic procedures, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify vehicle issues accurately and recommend the right solutions using diagnostic tools.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly explain technical information.
Technology: Basic computer skills and comfort working with modern vehicle diagnostic systems.
Attitude: A positive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and personal growth.
License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
