Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Service Technician to join our team in Auburn, ME. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will specialize in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. Your role ensures these life-saving systems function correctly to protect properties and occupants in case of a fire. You will work on both new installations and maintaining existing systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing and servicing valves, devices, and trim.
  • Fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Manipulating pipe to specifications.
  • Attaching pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
  • Inspecting and testing installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Planning installations or repairs based on site conditions.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work an unpredictable and changing schedule.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical background preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Licensed Backflow Tester or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months.
  • Licensed Maine Fire Sprinkler or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to perform work timely and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
