Job description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Service Technician to our team in Auburn, ME. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will specialize in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. This role ensures these life-saving systems function correctly to protect properties and occupants in the event of a fire. You will work on both new installations and maintaining existing systems to ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and service valves, devices, and trim.
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Manipulate pipe to specifications.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
  • Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Plan installations or repairs based on encountered conditions.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work an unpredictable and ever-changing work schedule.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical background preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience preferred.
  • Licensed Backflow Tester (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • Licensed Maine Fire Sprinkler (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others.
  • Proven ability to perform work in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
