Job summary

Bobby's Auto Service Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Technician/Lube Tech in Virginia to join our team. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of automotive maintenance and repair experience, formal automotive training preferred, and owns their own tools.

Responsibilities include oil changes, tire work, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy shop. Excellent communication with customers and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate with customers, mechanics and management.
• 3 years of automotive maintenance and repair experience is expected.
• High school diploma or GED required; formal automotive training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as requested on repair orders.
• Perform oil and filter changes.
• Perform alignments.
• Replace windshield wiper blades.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs.
• Check fluids and top off as needed.
• Mount and balance tires.
• Inspect front suspension components and tires.
• TPMS sensor replacement and relearning.
• Lubricate moving parts as specified.
• Check tire pressure and adjust to correct level.
• Rotate tires.
• Check battery health and replacement if needed.
• Inspect for oil leaks and document work.
• Operate all tools safely and keep a clean shop environment.
• Replace air filters and wiper blades as required.

Job description

We are Seeking an experienced Service Technician/Lube Tech to join our team. The qualified candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Productivity and ability to stay on task
• 3 years previous automotive maintenance and repair experience
• Formal automotive training preferred
• Virginia state Inspector preferred
• The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management
• High school diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation
• May lift objects that weight as much as 50lbs
• Hold a valid driver license
• Must have own set of tools

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am- 5pm major holidays paid, PTO, and Aflac Insurance Offered

Responsibilities

• Perform work as requested on the repair order
• Perform oil and filter changes
• Performing alignments
• Replace windshield wiper blades
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs as needed
• Checking all fluids and topping off as needed
• Mounting and balancing tires
• Inspect front suspension componentsRepairing Tires using tire plugs as needed
• Familiarity with tire pressure monitoring systems and able to replace and relearn TPMS Sensors as needed
• Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants
• Checking tire pressure and adjusting to the correct pressure for the vehicle
• Perform tire rotations
• Checking Battery Health and replacement of battery if needed
• Inspecting vehicles for oil leaks
• Document all work performed on the work order
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Replace wiper blades and air filters
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment
• Other Tasks as assigned
