ABOUT THE JOB:

Our Service Technicians are multi-functional, inspecting buildings, performing repairs or readiness work including framing, finish carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and more on our fleet of modular buildings. A keen eye for quality and a commitment to safety are essential for this role!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Safety/Environment:
  • Follow Williams Scotsman Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Policies.
  • Promote employee health and safety through creating a safer workplace, DuPont STOP™, training, observations, and regular assessments.
  • Attend safety meetings periodically.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate company vehicles safely, maintaining a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Fleet & Efficient Use of Resources:
  • Perform repairs to mobile office trailers, including framing, carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear.
  • Conduct check-in/out inspections of rented buildings, assessing repair needs and damages for invoicing; create floor plan drawings as needed.
  • Perform modifications requested by customers.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of equipment, tools, parts, and VAPS.
  • Provide courteous customer service, explaining repairs and services both over the phone and in person.
  • Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled deliveries, meeting quality standards.
  • Perform service tasks in the yard as needed.
  • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
  • Perform HVAC system checks and maintenance per company guidelines.
  • May be assigned duties at field locations based on business needs.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills for interacting with customers, contractors, and team members.
  • Carpentry knowledge and experience.
  • Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
