Job summary

SPATCO is seeking an entry-level service tech trainee to train and certify in routine maintenance and troubleshooting on customers’ equipment. Training, lodging and meals are provided by the company.

You will work at least 40 hours per week with overtime and an on-call rotation after training, servicing various fueling systems and POS equipment at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid State Issued Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• You will be required to pass a drug screen & background check for this position.
• Daily local travel.
• Lifting 50-75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for our customers at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer.
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units (Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, Bennett) and POS systems (VeriFone, Gilbarco, NCR).
• Install, program and test new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.

Ourservice tech trainee positionis an entry level position which will provide you with the training to advance your career. As a technician you will be trained and certified to do routine maintenance and troubleshooting on our customers’ equipment. In this position you will be required to attend training sessions which maybe outside of the area you live in. The training, lodging and meals are all paid for by the company.

The hours for this position may vary but you will work at least 40 hours a week. And there is overtime. Most calls are completed during day shift, however after training you will be put on an on-call rotation.
