Job summary

SPATCO is seeking a service tech trainee in Florida. This entry-level role provides the training to advance your career and certification to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on our customers’ equipment. Training, lodging, and meals are paid for by the company.

Hours may vary, but you will work at least 40 hours per week with overtime. Most calls occur during the day; after training you will be placed on an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Daily local travel required.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for various locations (retail gas stations, commercial sites, hospitals, travel centers, government facilities).
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate with service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues in non-technical terms to customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair fueling systems (Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, Bennett) and POS systems (VeriFone, Gilbarco, NCR).
• Install, program and test new petroleum equipment; perform scheduled maintenance.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as needed.

As a technician you will be trained and certified to do routine maintenance and troubleshooting on our customers’ equipment. In this position you will be required to attend training sessions which maybe outside of the area you live in. The training, lodging and meals are all paid for by the company.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for our customers. This could be at retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.
• Complete all service call paperwork after each call
• Communicate with your service dispatcher and manager
• Explain technical issues in a non-technical manner to the customer
• Troubleshoot and repairs gasoline dispensing units (such as: Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett) and POS (Point-of-Sale) Systems (such as: VeriFone, Gilbarco and NCR).
• Install, program and tests new petroleum equipment and perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.

Experience, Competencies and Education

• High School Diploma or GED
