Job summary

Join United Rentals as a Service Tech I and be a part of the world's largest equipment rental provider. In this role, you will perform maintenance and minor repairs on various equipment while ensuring safety and professionalism.

You are expected to provide exceptional customer service and will have opportunities for growth within the Service Department. The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and a basic understanding of mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs including checking oil and fluids.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment.
• Manage and Organize Inventory.

As a Service Tech I, you’ll use your skills (diesel, automotive or other mechanical) to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use


• Report machine condition to Management


• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment including checking oil, grease, fluids, electrical systems, AC systems, Plumbing, and tagging of equipment for rental ready status


• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts


• Manage and Organize Inventory


• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent


• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record


• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems


• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position


• Basic plumbing knowledge


• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills


• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
