Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Tech I in Las Vegas, NV. You will perform maintenance checks on rental equipment, conduct minor repairs, and ensure all work is done safely and professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will report on machine conditions, assist with equipment transport, and help keep inventory organized as you contribute to a high-performing Service Department with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs including oil, fluids, and electrical/AC checks.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Manage and organize inventory.
• Other duties as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use
• Report machine condition to Management
• Perform minor repairs of rental equipment including checking oil, grease, fluids, electrical systems, AC systems, Plumbing, and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Manage and Organize Inventory
• Other duties assigned as needed

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
