Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services Technician to support the cooking, serving, and cleaning processes within the hospital environment.

You will sanitize work areas, operate a cash register, and help with inventory and ordering while adhering to food safety and hospital policies.

Hours are 20 per week with variable shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed by the department.

A Brief Overview

Services Technicians perform a wide range of duties internally to ensure the ongoing operation of the organization. Duties can range between sanitation, laundry, and nutritional services. Nutritional Services Technicians perform a variety of functions while preparing, servicing, delivering and cleaning up food.

Experience Qualifications

• Experience in a service industry. Preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. (Required proficiency)
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. (Required proficiency)
