Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Service Projects Tech IV to install and retrofit HVAC systems in commercial/industrial settings, read blueprints, and train or guide technicians.

The role acts as a front-line resource for technical support and safety adherence across projects. You will lead installation efforts on routered equipment types, operate hand and power tools, and manage subcontractors while maintaining project profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; a two-year technical degree is highly desirable.
• EPA Certification is required; Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and retrofits HVAC systems with piping and sheet metal tradecraft.
• Work with split systems, VRF, RTUs, AHUs, chillers, and exhaust fans.
• Lead installation of various equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges and testing equipment.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and explain work performed to their satisfaction.
• Manage sub-contractors on quoted projects including coordination and scheduling; perform QA-QC tasks.
• Participate in after-hours quoted projects as needed.
• Safely operate fleet vehicles and comply with safety requirements.
• Purchase materials and issue purchase orders; maintain stock on service vehicle.
• Work effectively with app-based software.

Job Summary

The Service Projects Tech IV installs and/or retrofits new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
(duct and equipment) in commercial and/or industrial settings, reads and interprets blueprints and
specifications, and adheres to all safety policies and procedures. Serves as a front-line resource to service
technicians through technical support and provides guidance and training to other technicians. #INDREG

Essential Duties

• Installs and performs retrofits of HVAC systems with expert knowledge of piping and/or sheet metal
tradecrafts.
• Types of equipment workedon will include split systems, mini split systems, VRF multizone systems, RTUS,
WSHP, self-contained systems, CRAC units, air cooled chillers, cooling towers, airside equipment, AHUs
and exhaust fans of all types.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the installation of various types of equipment.
• Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring/testing equipment.
• Completes quoted projects with high quality while maintaining profitability. Develops long-term relationships
with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Performs sub-contractor management on quoted projects including coordination and scheduling of
vendors. Provides guidance to sub-contractors as needed and performs QA-QC tasks.
• Participates in after-hours quoted projects (as needed) per customer requirements.
• Safely operates motor vehicles and trailers as evidenced by past driving performance record. Meets
requirements of fleet safety and driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.
• Purchase materials and issue purchase order numbers to suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
• Able to work effectively with app-based software

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED. A two-year technical degree in a related field is highly desirable.
• EPA Certification is a must for this role, with Universal Certification being highly preferred.
