Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs diagnostic and service work on residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment. Communicates with customers to ensure satisfaction, promotes products, and works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform residential and/or light commercial service and maintenance calls
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently
- Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems, perform diagnostics, and identify potential problems
- Complete routine maintenance and equipment cleaning
- Handle parts and equipment logistics for service jobs
- Record all service information accurately and complete forms timely
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding job status
- Deliver excellent customer service and promote company products/services
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company property and tools
- Represent the company professionally and ethically
- Follow procedures for vehicle and warranty part management
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance
Health & Safety Roles And Responsibilities
- Report unsafe acts, conditions, hazards, and incidents immediately
- Use PPE and follow safety protocols
- Participate in safety initiatives and committees
- Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies
Desired Skills And Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, with 2-5 years HVAC experience and technical training
- Valid licensing and certifications, including EPA
- Proficiency in servicing HVAC systems, reading wiring diagrams, troubleshooting electrical and refrigerant issues
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
- Flexibility to work on-call and irregular hours
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments
