Job summary

Midwest Dental Equipment & Supply is seeking an experienced dental service technician to diagnose and repair on-site dental equipment across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role involves preventive maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting CBCT systems, with typical pay of $75,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.

This is a full-time, field-based position requiring a valid driver's license and strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and repair dental equipment.
• Experience with CBCT systems and software integration; radiological EPEs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair dental equipment on-site, including chairs, delivery units, compressors, vacuums, sterilizers, and small equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Manage installation, repair, and maintenance of dental equipment.
• Troubleshoot core dental equipment and technology, including CBCT systems and software integrations.
• Coordinate service schedules with Service Coordinators.
• Document service calls, parts used, and repair notes accurately.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose and repair dental equipment on-site, including chairs, delivery units, compressors, vacuums, sterilizers, and small equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Manage installation, repair, and maintenance of dental equipment
• Troubleshoot core dental equipment and technology, including CBCT systems and software integrations
• Conduct radiological EPEs
• Coordinate service schedules with Service Coordinators
• Troubleshoot and test equipment during field visits
• Remove and haul off shipping materials after installations
• Maintain service vehicle inventory and manage parts stock
• Order parts as needed
• Document service calls, parts used, and repair notes accurately
• Communicate professionally with dental office staff
• Follow all safety and infection-control procedures

Experience Needed:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Prior dental equipment service experience; 5-7 years preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and repair dental equipment
• Experience working with core dental equipment and technology, including CBCT systems, software integration, and radiological EPEs
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed

Preferred but not required:

• Advanced dental equipment factory training
• Experience with dental equipment installations
• Additional technical training in electronics, HVAC, biomedical, mechanical, or related fields
• Field-based work throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area
• Occasional early or late days depending on installation schedules
