Job summary

Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric is seeking a Full-Service Technician to diagnose, service, maintain and repair HVAC systems for residential customers in Hobart, IN. You will explain repair options, provide estimates, and document service activities for a high-volume service department.

The role requires EPA 608 certification, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• HVAC technical training or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling systems independently.
• EPA 608 certification required; Core, Type 1, and Type 2, and universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to use diagnostic instruments, read wiring diagrams, and complete electronic service records.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, thermostats, and related HVAC components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, adjustments, and equipment safety inspections.
• Test electrical components, refrigerant systems, airflow, and equipment performance to identify problems and verify repairs.
• Explain findings, provide repair recommendations and estimates, and obtain customer authorization before completing additional work.
• Complete service reports, record parts and materials used, and communicate job status to dispatch and management.
• Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, and inventory; protect customer property and clean the work area.
• Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer instructions, and applicable refrigerant-handling requirements.
• Servicing generators as well as mini-split systems

Pay: $24/hr plus commission opportunities

Position Summary

Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric is the largest residential HVAC contractor in North America and continues to grow our Service Department throughout the Chicagoland area. We are seeking motivated, skilled Full-Service Technician who diagnoses, services, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position ensures safe and reliable equipment operation while providing professional customer service, explaining repair options, and completing accurate service documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling systems independently.
• EPA Section 608 certification is required for the equipment serviced; Core, Type 1, and Type 2, and universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to use diagnostic instruments, read wiring diagrams, and complete electronic service records.

Working Conditions / Environment

Work is performed indoors and outdoors at customer locations, including basements, attics, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms. Conditions may involve limited working space, ladders, uneven surfaces, and extreme temperatures.
