Job description

Store - ALBANY-CLIFTON PARK, NY

Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and help them find what they need. Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties, maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises.

  1. Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
  2. Provide a quick and friendly checkout; handle cash transactions according to standards.
  3. Engage customers with the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; assist with enrollments.
  4. Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
  5. Support Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  6. Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
  7. Complete merchandise recovery, returns, and store maintenance to ensure in-stock and well-merchandised conditions.
  8. Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  9. Support shrink and safety initiatives.
  10. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies for compliance and standards.
  11. Interact respectfully with others, maintain a positive attitude, and promote the organization’s values. Serve as a role model for team members.
  12. Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Experience desired:

  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Move throughout the store.
  • Bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
  • Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
  • If accommodations are needed for these functions, contact your supervisor for support.
  • Work in a retail setting, including outdoor tasks like retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Applicants in the U.S. must meet legal requirements. Michaels requires team members to be at least 16 years old.

Total Base Pay Range: $15.50 - $18.20
