Job summary

Roberts Truck Center - TYE is seeking a Service Porter to keep the service department clean and organized in a retail dealership environment. You will perform daily cleaning, assist technicians, and help maintain a safe, tidy work area.

Responsibilities include cleaning aisles and break room, maintaining oil pits and fluid areas, coordinating with techs on schedules, and following safety practices while using company tools and cleaners.

Responsibilities

• To clean and perform some light duty maintenance to service department shop and or building daily or as instructed by direct supervisors and/or managers.
• Provide updates if any items in service department need to be repaired due to breaks or leaks or unforeseen issues that may occur.
• Work with technicians to coordinate times to assist technicians with a clean, safe and well-organized work area.
• To clean and maintain oil pits and fluid area with the assistance of technicians. Monitor fluid levels and bring to the attention of supervisor or manager issues that need to be addressed.
• To clean and maintain the break room.
• To assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of wash bays and components that pertain to these areas.
• Follow safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Operate and maintain with proper use all company supplied tools, machines and cleaners safely and as directed.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor and or manager.
